AI Intelligence
Bring knowledge, creativity and human judgment to AI. Inquire, verify, improve and take responsibility.
We share a question: how can AI and educational innovation help people understand more deeply, act with judgment and grow together?
Our purpose is education for human growth.
Educational drift occurs when effort, competition, workload and measurable performance keep increasing while a shared understanding of education’s purpose becomes less clear. AI makes the need for a thoughtful response more urgent.
IAAIE is a founding initiative connecting academic research, school practice and educational AI innovation. We invite educators, researchers, learners, families, schools and community partners to connect shared educational aims with everyday practice.
We seek to help people develop knowledge and capability, exercise judgment, build meaningful relationships and take responsibility for a sustainable common future.
Three mutually reinforcing capacities describe what education should cultivate. Four dimensions describe how they develop together.
Bring knowledge, creativity and human judgment to AI. Inquire, verify, improve and take responsibility.
Investigate real questions. Make, test and revise ideas through practical constraints and feedback.
Listen, build relationships, learn across differences and contribute with shared responsibility.
Initiative and persistence to pursue worthwhile questions, including when the way forward is uncertain.
Connect ideas, explore alternatives, design, make and revise work that contributes something meaningful.
Build trust, reciprocity and shared responsibility through which learning and growth become possible.
Use values and judgment to consider purpose, evidence, consequences and responsibility to others.
A stable core and flexible inquiry belong within the same learning experience. Human responsibility remains active throughout.
Foundational knowledge, ethical boundaries, disciplined verification, human judgment and responsibility.
Inquiry, adaptation, exploration, creativity and the ability to apply learning in unfamiliar settings.
A Community of Meaning connects personal growth with belonging, contribution and a shared public future.
Link learning with real people, problems, communities and feedback. Make opportunities accessible across backgrounds.
Set clear expectations for transparency, fairness and responsible AI use. Keep people accountable for consequential decisions.
Make learning credible through evidence of inquiry, revision, collaboration and judgment within a clearly understood scope.
The framework draws on AI Era: Redefining Teaching and Learning by Paul Pu and Jim Slotta. Paul Pu’s doctoral research informs the emphasis on structured inquiry, human judgment and visible evidence of learning. These ideas guide shared inquiry; future IAAIE programme and recognition arrangements remain in development.
Curiosity, empathy, independent judgment and responsibility belong at the centre of educational change.
Our declaration advocates age-appropriate AI boundaries, teachers’ professional judgment, careful data use and human review of important decisions. It draws on Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education.
